CFCS offers 3 and 5 day fuel Courses the 5 day course is CPD accredited, the 3 day course is a very compact course, mainly hands on and discussions on each topic can be variable in depth and time depending on experience.

The key point of the course is to gain a full understanding from start to finish of each process, sampling, understanding test results and the correction of the fuel, if out of specification, and documenting the results and offering a corrective solution. The practical fuel polishing side will show insoluble effects and then conditioning samples of fuel or the fuel during polishing will show how conditioning a fuel can now bring it back into specification, if soluble contamination is present. This can be in the form of soaps and or pour point depressants de-bonding from the fuel.

  8. Fuel testing results and discussions on possible corrections to the fuel

  11. Fuel polishing filters and comparisons in efficiency

  12. Fuel Conditioning what is it

  13. Why is it so important to re-test once any form of polishing or fuel conditioning has taken place

  16. Viscosity (ASTM D7042)

  17. Soap content in Diesel (In House titration)
